Future Magic Posts going to another blog

Wizard's Archivist (Update: discontinued)

I've been posting articles there for a while. It is much easier to link articles on Tumblr and the interface there is also great. I'll be continuing this blog for non-Magic stuff like Yugioh and Assassin's Creed Recollection.

Innistrad Deathfed Event Deck Unboxing

I manage to get my hands on the other Innistrad Event Deck, Deathfed, to complete Innistrad Event Decks. This one actually cost SGD$19.90 now from Comics Connection and for the price of an Intro Pack, it's a steal. The dice is actually green even though it look like blue in the picture. I hope to compete this with the other Innistrad block Event Decks.

Assassin's Creed Recollection is now on iPhone/iPod Touch devices and is still free

I never though it will work due to the space constraints but after trying it, it doesn't feel too cramp. In fact, it makes the iPad version feel like it contains a lot of waste of space! To be fair, I was playing on the iPhone 4 and I think you'll need a retina-display capable device to enjoy the game on a smaller device. The game had some initial problem syncing my missions and credits but after 2 games, the game was in sync with my iPad version. I had to manually upload my decklists to the server from my iPad to transfer to the iPhone version though. I experience a bit of lag on my iPhone due to it using an older generation processor The iPhone 4S should perform as well as my iPad 2.

I have to admit that I lost quite a lot of interest in the game after all the "nerf" changes. Although it may balance the game on the surface (which it does of course), I think it takes away quite a lot of fun. EDIT: I also didn't like that the "nerf" changes seem to be suggested from the players instead of Ubisoft's own R&D team (if it exists). With this latest update to enable the game on my iPhone which is more portable, it will "win" just a few more games from me.

Innistrad Hold the Line Event Deck Unboxing

I am curious to see how Hold the Line will do against Dark Ascension Spiraling Doom Event Deck as Ertai's Lament only pits Event Decks from the same set against each other. I think Hold the Line is the best Event Deck so far and will do better than Gleeful Flames against the Birthing Pod deck. Hopefully, I play them stock against each other and record the matches!

Edit: Forgot to add that the price is SGD$32.90 from Comics Connection

About Grand Prix Baltimore and the real top decks of Pro Tour Dark Ascension

GP Baltimore Day 1 Undefeated Decks
GP Baltimore Top 8 Decklists

Comments: What happen to all the Birthing Pods, Wolf Run Ramp/Delver Spirits(in top 8) decks!? I think the reasoning will be perhaps that the Birthing Pod is not good enough and the people had hate out for Wolf Run and Spirits after that strong showing in the Pro Tour. Corrosive Gales answers Spirits while UB Control will triumph Wolf Run according to Paulo Victor Damo da Rosa.

PT DKA's "real" Top Standard Decks

Comments: dgschess pointed out that the Pro Tour scores consisted of constructed and draft matches, thus there may be players who did not do well in draft but had a solid constructed showing with their decks. His list shows the top performing decks.
