I haven't been playing PAD much but the latest Japanese version got me interested. It introduces a second mode which is basically just a puzzle mode of the game. I like this more as I enjoy the puzzle aspect of PAD but not the grind for levelling and skilling up. koukoupuffs.net has a mini guide on the game which includes useful translation of the puzzle objectives which is pretty essential for the game.
