Art Gallery/Green, Purple & Yellow/All packs

This one is based on the idea used in Borgia Art Gallery. I'm thinking of just focusing on Art Gallery and optimizing it as the main winning condition, backed up by Calling all Stand-ins. Since you immediately score once your agent lands on Art Gallery, it may not matter much for it to finish campaigning as we are using weenies with 0-1 attack power. You'll only need 5 campaigns for each Gallery.

The main idea will be to use Dama Rossa and Cahin with Green's bounce cards(Doctor/Malfatto/Bitter Sweet) to recast the Agents to restart campaigning. In addition, Cahin will generate a new token when cast. It will be even better if you can bait opponent's agent to block yours before you pull them back to your hand. One more untested trick is to use Behind Closed Doors to swap the Art Gallery around to escape destruction or free up slots to "swap" in fresh agents for campaigning.

Main Cards
Art Gallery
Cahin
Dama Rossa
Call to Action
Quick Study
Behind Closed Doors
Doctor
Malfatto
Bitter Sweet
Knowledge is Power
Magnetic Personality

Once again, use Baracus' Site for card list.

Red & Blue Control Deck Idea

This deck is about Red and Blue control. Red has the mass Agent destruction while Blue has the mass Site Destruction.

Main Actions
Royal Decree
Wrath of the Righteousness
Court Order
Pre-emptive Strike
Animus Reboot
History Glitch

To finish the game, you can use these cards which will give the deck its name:

Silvio Barbarigo
He escapes Wrath and Reboots. The AI has a version that uses him too.

Novella Cathedral
A combo of Buried Cathedral and Novella Catacombs to mill the opponent out of cards

Patheon Intervention
2 card combo finish: Patheon/Royal Intervention

Cesare Borgia
Cesare is especially good if you are facing another control deck as he can't be countered.

Use Baracus' Site for card list.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Blue & Purple Control Deck Idea

Purple and Blue are also capable of playing the Control game. Together with Yellow, these are the cards stop the opponent in their tracks.

Main Actions
Court Order
Pre-emptive Strike
Wanted Posters
Tactless Theatrics
For the Cause
Role Reversal
Easy come, easy go
Royal Decree
History Glitch
Animus Reboot

To finish off the game:

Counterpost
This is another old Magic TG deck. The main idea is to counter and control what your opponent does and when the opponent runs out of steam, there is a land card that churns out tokens to slowly overwhelm the opponent. The concept is the same here except instead of a token generator, we'll use the 2 main Token generator from Media Expertise as finishers: Calling all stand-ins and Carnevale.

Cesare's Ego
The idea is to cast 1 Cesare who will come out quick. Then, use Auxiliary Ego to clone another and cast another Cesare for 0 cost. Having to deal with more than 1 Cesare and in such quick succession should be a real pain in the @$$!

Use Baracus' Site for card list.

Senor Stompy (Recollections) Deck Idea

This is a Green Magic TG deck that I have from my old days of Magic. The idea is to use under-cost green creatures backed by creature booster. The deck that closes up the game with a card to slow down the opponent's game. This recollection version does not have any card to slow down the opponent, other than the ones to reduce income so we'll only have under-cost Agents and creature booster.

Main Agents
Ezio Auditore Da Firenze (Main under-cost Agent, we are not going to put any Templar cards here)
Niccolo Machiavelli (Another good under-cost Agent)
Rosa

Main Sites
Smuggler's Warehouse

Main Actions
Magnetic Personality

There are cards that can reduce opponent's income but it may not be very useful as once the opponent gains enough income, those income reduction doesn't do much. The deck is similar to Brontobeuf's deck posted over at Touch Arcade Forum. Use Baracus' Site for card list.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

187 Agent Deck Idea

187 is a term from Magic TG and what it refers to are creatures which have a come into play effect. There are quite a number of 187 Agents in Recollection too and I think it is enough to build a deck centered on that idea. I do not have enough cards yet but it can work. So far, it has not tested well against the AI's Thief deck in Mission 19 (R19).

The main colors will be Black and Green. Purple and Red do have some good 187 Agents too but Black is the main color and Green has the best support for 187 as it has the bounce cards.

Main Agents
Mario Auditore (Destroy agents)
Giovanni Auditore (Destroy sites)
Fabio Orsini (all agents get -1/-1)
Ezio Auditore, Assassin (Destroy an agent or site)
Leonardo Da Vinci (Draw 2 cards)
Malfatto (Bounce Agents)

Main Actions
Quick Study (Search for the required 187 Agent)
Bitter Sweet (Bounce Agent)
Impending Pandemic (Sends everything back to hand)

Main Sites
Assassins Guild (Destroy Opponent's highest Agent)
Venezia, San Polo District (Destroy opposing site in region)

One thing I notice is that you require a lot of gold to be able to consistently recast your Agents. One more trick you can pull with this is to use your 187 Agent to block before sending them back to your hand to reuse the ability. Use Baracus' Site for card list.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Police & Thief Deck Idea

After building Thief decks as I get more of them from Assassin Packs, I find these Agents to be really strong. The main Thief is Lanz, a rare from Templar packs. I did not look too much to his ability but on closer examination, he is a souped-up "Borgia Tower".

Threat + When Lanz campaigns, your Thieves get +1/+1

You just need to put him onto a blank space in a region and all your other thieves grow! Usual play will be to put out a few thieves before casting him and once he's out, your horde of thieves will start to grow and overwhelm the opponent fast.

Main Thief cards
Lanz
Discreet Calling
Rosa (Good against Site decks which will not block him)
Lia De Russo
La Vople
Antonio De Magianis (Good against Site decks)
Ugo

It is a really fast deck and it is really only susceptible to Action cards. Hence, I added in the Blue Expertise for counterspells and income gainers.

Main Blue Order cards
Forced Inheritance
Court Order
Pre-emptive Strike

You can also add in the blue agents like Octavian or Grimaldi. I think Borgia Tower isn't necessary at all. I tried a version with Templar Sanctum and all Templar Thief and Noble Agents and it works pretty well too.

Use Baracus' Site for card list.

AC Recollections Expertise Staple

I've been trying out quite a few decks and think these are the staples of each Expertise:

Yellow
Plentiful Crop

Black
Rosa in Fiore
Forced Charity

Red
Basilica Di San Pietro
Benevolent Midwife
Divine Intervention

Purple
Dama Rossa
Political Patronage
Calling All Stand-ins
Magnetic Personality

Blue
Forced Inheritance
Court Order

Green
Knowledge is Power
Quick Study

They are mostly Income gainers at the moment. Use Baracus' Site for card list.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Site-Rush/Red, Green & Yellow/All packs

This deck deserves a repost as with Assassin cards added, a lot of cards needed to be changed. Use Baracus' Site for card list.

25 Sites
5 Venezia, San Polo District
5 Basilica Di San Pietro
5 Roma, Vaticano District
5 Lair of Romulus
3 San Grimgnano
2 Forli

25 Actions
5 Plentiful Crop
5 Knowledge is Power
5 Field of Study
5 Papal Influence
3 Wrath of the Righteousness
2 Animus Reboot

Total: 50 Memories

Wrath, Venezia and Animus for defense. Lair of Romulus, San Grimgnano, Forli and Papal Influence are game winning cards. Roma, Vaticano District can lockout Agents while still providing 2 influence which is quite versatile. More card-drawing available with Assassin cards: Knowledge is Power.

My Recollection Expertise Guide and deck-building suggestions

I have bought 67 Assassin Packs so far and have been trying out new decks. I'll post an update on the Expertise (Colors) of Recollection with Assassin card impressions added in bold below the old comments for Templar cards. I do not have all the Assassin cards yet and I'm hoping to hold off more spending until the Auction House opens.

Yellow Golden Expertise
- Main winning condition: Sites
- has mass-destruction cards (site+agents): Animus Reboot
- has game-changing cards that can reset scores or make all actions uncounter-able, to an Agent that wins the game with its own effect.

Red Faith Expertise
- Main winning condition: Sites
- Agents mostly have Recover ability
- has card against Purple Media Expertise and Green Scholar Expertise
- has milling (deck out) and discard effects as well as graveyard (Archive) manipulation
- are against Agents and has a mass destruction card for Agents to top that up

Black Crime Expertise
- Too few cards to cipher the winning condition but I'm guessing it is through Agents? I'm reading that there are other win condition cards in Black Crime Expertise.
- Thieves are a potent Agent-type
- Alternate win condition using Courtesans
- The previous 2 points seem to be very fast decks from the comments of users in forums
- has mass-destruction cards that only affect opponent
- has quite a few "187-type" Agents (Magic term for creatures with come into play effects). 10-gold Ezio (Main Character of AC Brotherhood and Revelations) is a 187-type.

Purple Media Expertise
- Main winning condition: Agents
- Weenie-swam strategy available
- has cards against Sites
- has doppleganger-themed cards
- has a souped-up version of Magic's Giant Growth: Instant +3/+3 with Fierce (Trample) to Agent

Blue Order Expertise
- Main winning condition: Agents
- most cards in Templar set
- has counterspell! (Magic: The Gathering's famous card: one that can negate other cards)
- has a lot of vanilla (no abilities) and Official-ability Agents
- has an unblockable Agent (uncommon card that is quite difficult to get)
- has cards against Sites and Black Crime Expertise
- works with Green Scholar Expertise
- has a +2 power to all Templar Agents (Templar set agents?) rare card
- has site that alter winning condition and an action (Royal Intervention) that just outright add X gold to your score in a region
- has one more counter spell which negates while replacing itself with another card.

Green Scholar Expertise
- Main winning condition: Sites
- has cards against Purple Media and Red Faith
- has mass-bounce cards (Site+agents): Impending Pandemic
- powerful card drawing and card advantage mechanics
- 10-gold Leonardo Da Vinci is a 187-type that lets you draw 2 cards.
- overall, this Expertise still looks more like support to me.

Borgia Art Gallery/Blue, Purple & Yellow/Templar Only

20 Agents
5 Dama Rossa
5 Teddor Viscardi
5 Dante Moro
5 Horse Merchant

10 Sites
5 Borgia Tower
5 Art Gallery

20 Actions
5 Calling all Stand-ins
5 Court Order
5 A Call to Action
5 By Order of the King

Total: 50 Memories

I noticed Borgia Tower and Art Gallery combo very well with 0 or low cost Agents. Initially, I only used either Borgia Tower or Art Gallery but later switched to using both as I wasn't drawing enough of either. Dante Moro and Court Order provide defense and By Order of the King helps to thin the deck. Calling all Stand-ins is for middle to late game and should wrap up the victory.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Site-rush Deck/Red, Green & Yellow/Templar Only

25 Sites
5 Basilica Di San Pietro
5 City Stables
5 Quiet Chapel
5 Roma, Vaticano District
5 Lair of Romulus

25 Actions
5 Papal Bull
5 Judgement Day
5 Seeking Sanctuary
5 Field of Study
5 Papal Influence

Total: 50 Memories

I put in Papal Bull for defense. Lair of Romulus, Judgement Day and Papal Influence are game winning cards. Roma, Vaticano District can lockout Agents while still providing 2 influence which is quite versatile. This is one of the few Templar decks that can use the card-drawing Memory, Field of Study.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Noble Deck/Blue/Templar Only

30 Agents
5 Teddor Viscardi
5 Dante Moro
5 Arquebusier
5 Beautiful Heiress
5 Carlo Grimadi
5 Emilio Barbarigo

5 Sites
5 Borgia Tower

15 Actions
5 By Order of the King
5 Forced Inheritance
5 Court Order

Total: 50 Memories

Semi-unblockable Agents backed up with Counterspell. Once you get Borgia Tower out, your Agents start to get bigger. By Order of the King serves to thin deck which is important as there is no other card drawing Memory available. Save Counterspell for opponent's mass destruction or game winning Memory.

Update: For Assassin cards, remove 5 Emilio Barbarigo for 5 Pre-emptive Strike. Use Baracus' Site for card list.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Militant Deck/Purple & Yellow/Templar only

30 Agents
5 Dama Rossa
5 Persistent Panhandler
5 Cahin
5 Silvestro Sabbatini
5 Ercole Massimo
5 Caha

5 Sites
5 Art Gallery

15 Actions
5 Calling all Stand-ins
5 A Call to Action
5 Motivational Speech

Total: 50 Memories

Simple Weenie rush deck. Save some Agents in hand in case of mass destruction Memories. Calling all Stand-ins is for a middle to late game powerhouse.

Update: For Assassin cards, add in 5 Plentiful Crop and 5 Magnetic Personality to replace Ercole Massimo and Motivational Speech. Use Baracus' Site for card list.

Details, details, details......

Memory Effects and comments updated for Templar Card Lists thanks to input from Jools75 and ategaw from Touch Arcade forums.

As I was going through the Memories again, I noticed the wordings and take greater notice on the symbols/icons used:

Gold vs Income
Gold is the white diagonal rectangle box. It is what you use to cast Memories.
Income is the dark diagonal rectangle box. It is a measure of how much your gold pile can accumulate up to.

Influence vs Score
Influence is represented in a diamond square. It is what the region will gain in score after a complete day has passed.
Score is represented in a diamond square with the top and bottom corners are marked in black. You need this to be at 10.

Action vs Surprise
Action is a symbol with 3 cards fanned out. It takes 1/2 a day to resolves.
Surprise is a symbol with 3 cards fanned out and a lightning in the middle. It resolves immediately.

Neutralize vs Erased
Neutralize Memories goes to Archive pile.
Erased Memories goes to Erased pile. (Out of game pile and cannot be retrieved)

Get vs Have (might need confirmation)
When the Memory reads 'your X gets X effect", it means the effect is permanent unless the word 'until' is used in the explanation.
When the Memory reads 'your X have X effect", it means the effect is until the Agent or Site is neutralized.

Your vs All
'Yours' refer to only your Memories.
'All' refers to both players' Memories.

Don't get them confused!

No Decking-out win condition in AC Recollections (Update: There is but you need to use a card)

Just putting it out here because I experienced the AI drawing its entire deck and not losing the game. Come to think of it, perhaps the game is not designed for losing via deck-out and promotes you to draw as fast as possible?

New strategy for Forgotten Temple: draw to 0 memories, activate, board-wipe and hand-wipe. (Watch out for Safe ability Agents though!)

Update: There is a Rare Faith Memory in Assassin Pack that makes decking-out a win condition!

Templar Scholar Expertise Card List

Credits to Ubisoft for all the cards. Some of my comments on the Memories are in italics below the effects.

1: Engineer. No ability.

2: Engineer. No ability.

3: Draw a Memory for each Site you control.
One of Templar pack's few cards that allows for drawing of Memory. Good card for Site-focused deck.

4: No ability.

5: Pay 2 gold, discard a Site: Surprise. Search your Sequence for a Site to put in hand and randomize Sequence.

6: Engineer.
When a player gets a Site in a Region, he draws a Memory.
Benefits both players so it is not as good.

1: Surprise. Put target Agent in its Controller's Hand.
Combos with discard effects Memories from Assassin Packs.

2: Put Target Site or launching Site in its Controllers Hand.
Combos with discard effects Memories from Assassin Packs.

3: Faith Agents and Sites rest twice as slow.
Situational.

4: Put all Media Agents and Sites in their Controller's Hand.
Situational.

5: Pay 3 gold: Action. Put target Site you control in your Hand.
To protect the site if targeted for destruction?

6: Agents cannot campaign in a Region where the Opponent influence is greater than their Power.
Should be a good lockdown card.

1: No ability.

2: Physician. Put target Agent or launching Agent in its Controller's Hand.
Combos with discard effects Memories from Assassin Packs.

3: Physician. Put target Site or launching Site in its Controller's Hand.
Combos with discard effects Memories from Assassin Packs.

4: Put target Agent or launching Agent on top of its Controller's Sequence.
Better than Slow Study as it denies a new Memory draw.

5: Physician. Pay 3 gold: Surprise. Put target Agent you control in your Hand.
To protect agent?

6: Put all Agents and Sites in their Controller's Hand.
Mass destruction when paired with mass discard effects.

1: Move target Site you control to target different Region. (If there is already a site, it is replaced) Draw a Memory.
This Memory replaces itself with another.

2: The Controller of target Site moves it to target different Region. (If there is already a Site, it is replaced)

3: If you replace a site with this Memory, the replaced Site is placed in Hand instead of Archive.

4: Engineer. When a Site is replaced, the new Site gets +2 influence.
Benefits both players.

5: Engineer. if a Site or Agent is replaced, put it in its Controller's Hand.
Benefits both players.

6: Pay 2 gold, lose all your gold: Action. Search your Sequence for a Site with a Cost lower than Gold lost. Randomize Sequence.
I personally prefer Architect's Sanctum to this.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Templar Order Expertise Card List

Credits to Ubisoft for all the cards. Some of my comments on the Memories are in italics below the effects.

1: Soldier. No ability.

2: No ability.

3: Surprise. Target Agent gets +1/+1.

4: Citizen. Pay 2 gold: Surprise. Target Agent gets +1/+1.

5: Herald. Official + When this agents scores, it gets +2/+2.
Effect is permanent. Good card as it is semi-unblockable and grows into a big agent. (provided by Jools75 of Touch Arcade forums)

6: When one of your Agents campaigns on this region, it gets +1/+1.
Combos well with 0 cost or low cost Agents. Effect is permanent.

1: Soldier. No ability.

2: Soldier. No ability.

3: Soldier. No ability.

4: Soldier. No ability.

5: Soldier. No ability.

6: When you get an Agent in your HQ, score 2 in this region.
Tokens are counted too. (provided by Jools75 and ategaw of Touch Arcade forums)

1: Noble. Official.

2: Noble. Official.

3: Noble. Official.

4: Noble. Unblockable.
Although situational, I find Arquebusier (2 Memories above) to be more useful than this Agent.

5: Search your Sequence for a Noble or Herald. Put into hand and randomize Sequence.
Card tutoring. It needs better UI for selecting your card.

6: Noble. Official + Fierce. Agent resolves as a Surprise.
Due to speed of Surprise, this Agent is un-counterable.

1: No ability.

2: No ability.

3: Noble. Lose -0/-1, another Agent gains Safe.
Combos with mass destruction Memories?

4: Crime Actions cannot neutralize nor damage your Agents or Sites.
Situational.

5: Erase target Agent or launching Agent.
Good card removal.

6: Herald. When this agent scores, erase another target Agent.
This will attract blockers fast!

1: Noble. No ability.

2: Noble. Pay 8 gold: Action. this agent becomes a 4/4.
Good Memory throughout the game.

3: Noble. Your other Nobles have +1/+0
Effect is gone when this Agent is erased.

4: Noble. Target Agent gets +2/+2
Effect should be permanent.

5: Noble. This agent has +1/+1 for each other Noble you control.
Keep 0 cost or low cost Agents in HQ for the buff.

6: Your Nobles and Soldiers get +2/+2.
Effect should be permanent.

1: Surprise. Neutralize target launching Agent.
You have to be quick!

2: No ability.

3: Neutralize target launching Assassin Memory.
Pack specific. Situational.

4: Surprise. Neutralize target launching Memory.
This is the Counterspell of the game. I think 5 copies is automatic choice for any deck with Blue expertise. (Staple)

5: Official. Tap this Agent: Surprise. Neutralize target launching Memory by sacrificing this Agent.
5 More slower Counterspell.

6: Official. Pay 3 gold: Action. Neutralize target Assassin Agent. (Resolves as Surprise)
Situational.

1: No ability.

2: Neutralize target launching Memory with cost 0 or 1.
Situational?

3: Noble. Opponent gets +2 gold.
One of the best under-cost agent with a set-back.

4: Official.
The rare card that most people do not want when opening packs. Purple's Calling all Stand-ins is a much better card if you want a big Agent.

5: Templar Agents have +2/+0.
You should be playing Templar Agents if you use this anyway.

6: Neutralize all Sites.
Mass destruction card.

iTunes App Store link: Assassin's Creed Recollection - Ubisoft

Templar Media Expertise Card List

Credits to Ubisoft for all the cards. My own comments (if any) to the card in italics below the card ability.

1: Target Agent or launching Agent becomes a 1/1 Militant with no ability.

2: Militant. Fierce.

3: Militant. Fierce.
Under-cost Agent with a side-back in gold

4: Militant. No ability.

5: Militant. Your other Militants get +1/+1.
Effect stays when this Agent is neutralized? (Requires confirmation)

6: Lost all your gold and put a X/X Militant with Fierce in HQ, if there is an empty slot. X is the gold lost.
AI likes to create weenies with this card. This is a good game-winning Memory but remember not to fill up your own HQ before this resolves.

1: No ability.

2: Militant. No ability.

3: Militant. When this agent scores, score 2 in the Region.

4: Citizen. Neutralize target Assassin Site.
Any Site from Assassin Packs. Situational.

5: When one of your Agents campaigns on this Region, score 2 on it.
Combos well with 0 cost or cheap Agents

6: Players cannot launch Sites in this Region.
Good lockdown card.

1: Neutralize target Assassin Agent or Site.
Must be against memories from Assassin Packs. Situational.

2: Surprise: Put a 1/1 virtual Militant in your HQ, if there is an empty slot.
Militant token comes out immediately.

3: Militant. Put a 1/1 virtual Militant in your HQ if there is an empty slot.
Nice 1-time token generator. Use the token against X/1 agents to gain memory advantage as your opponent waste a memory while you lose none.

4: No ability.

5: Militant. Your other Militants have +2/+2.
Effect is gone when agent is neutralized.

6: Put a 2/2 virtual Militant in each free slot of your HQ.

Agents from all Expertise are covered here.

2: Surprise. Target Site's Influence becomes 0.

3: Each Site's Influence becomes 0.

4: Courtesan. No ability.
Good card for gold.

5: No ability.

6: All your Agents get +3/+3, Fierce and Recover until they finish resting.
Similar to Magic: TG's green card, Overrun. Pumps up all your weenies for 1 good push. Agents from all Expertise are covered here.
